Abstract
Talking about language, it must be related to vocabulary that someone able to produce, if someone, especially the learners have many vocabularies. So, they should be spoken well, in KTSP state that, the students are expected to master at least 1000 vocabulary to reach the curriculum target. So, the teacher should use good technique that suitable with situation and condition of the students in teaching learning process. There are many techniques in teaching vocabulary, but no one is the best and worst, in this case the writer want to know how the teacher use many technique in teaching vocabulary that influence the students in mastering vocabulary, the data are collected by conducting observation, and questionnaire the writer observed the process of teaching by the English teachers. Next, she gave the questionnaire sheet to the teacher they are fifteen questions in open question and one question in essay from every question contains for options. The writer found that using picture in teaching English vocabulary is dominated the answer of questionnaire. Every question that related to the picture techniques has higher percentage in the answer.
