Abstract
This final project focused on the research of Herringbone technique in teaching reading narrative text. The objective of this study were (1) to find out the achievement of students who are taugh by using Herringbone Technique in reading narrative text, (2) to Find out the achienvement of students who are taught by using Direct Instruction in reaning narrative text, (3) To Find out whether there in significant difference in the achievement of students between those who are taught by using Herringbone Techinique and those who are taught by using Direct Instruction in reading narrative text.
