William Shakespeare is a famous writer from England. He has created so many plays and poems. One of his famous plays is Hamlet. It tells about a revenge mission from a son on his father’s death. This play full of conflict and contradiction between each character which in the end, this problem caused so many bloodshed. Therefore, the writer choosed a play as her research object because play is a literary which show a story which is usually we find in our daily life, especially in sociaty. In this case, the sociaty can enjoy directly the play without they have to read the story. Besides, play is also used for threatrical performance where conflict and emotion are expressed through dialog and action. Because of this reason, the writer would be easier to find irony in this play, because basically, irony will arise if there are contradiction and hate between the caracters.
