Abstract
The tempo is one of the magazines in Indonesia. It is one of the magazine which is written in English. Tempo magazine has several columns such as prelude, opinion, national, economy, law, international, art, profile and life style. Here the writer takes all columns as a material which will be analyzed. The writer collected all paragraph books as a guidance of the research. This study is to find out what is the dominant type of paragraph which is used English tempo magazine. Mean while, the study was based on descriptive quantitative design as it describes the paragraph of the tempo magazine.
