Abstract
This study entitled “ The correlation Between Students Ability in Mastering Simple Past Tense and Contructing Narrative Text (A Correlational Study at The Eight Grade Students of MTsN Swasta Terpadu Langsa). The objectives of this study are: (1) To know the students ability in mastering simple past tense, (2) To now the students ability in contructing narrative text. (3) to find out the significant correlation between students ability in mastering simple past tense and contructing the narrative text. IN this study, The writer conducted quantitative study particulary correlation. The samples of the study were 35 students who sat at the eight grade.
