Abstract
Speech act is a pragmatic element that involves the speaker, listener, reader or writer discussed. The Speakers do not only express emotions through languange, but also show that emotion when conveing it. This study is manly aimed to describe the speech acts form of the utterances on facebok status updates. The data collected from status updates which posted by participant on English Departement Group Account.
