Abstract
This study aimed to find out students’ difficulties in writing scientific articles.The type of research was qualitative. The subject of the research was 5 students who have submitted the scientific articles for completing their final examination requirement at the English Education Department of IAIN Langsa.The instrument used was Interview and Documentation. After conducting the research, the researcher found the problems for students’ difficulties in writing scientific article include : (1) lack of reference source; (2)lack of knowledge regarding proper scientific article writing procedures; and (3) lack of skill in writing scientific writing.
