Abstract
The problem of wali ‘adhal also the case in Langsa City and even has a major impact on children and their families. Basically, the case in Langsa City regarding wali 'adhal that often happens most trustees do not agree with their child's choice due to various things, as the results of observations made at KUA Langsa Baroe which states that wali 'adhal occur because of differences in economic, education, descendants and the prospective parents have chosen, from the child's side wants a husband of his own choice, resulting in a fight between children and parents and resulted in parents refusing to become marriage guardians for their children. This is interesting to study. Therefore, in this study, we will try to see the extent of the role of the Head of KUA in solving the problem of wali ‘adhal. Not only that, but in this study we will try to examine what efforts can be done so that the settlement of the determination of wali ‘adhal is not up to the court. This study is a field research model (qualitative research). Field research is a research that intends to understand the phenomenon of wali ‘adhal that occur in KUA Langsa City. The approach used is sociological by looking at the facts that occur in the field related to the problem of wali ‘adhal. The results of the study showed that the causes of the guardians were varied in each KUA in Langsa City, among others; First, economic factors. Second, not yet mature or old enough. Third, the choice difference. Fourth, the absence of guardian's consent. Fifth, significant age difference. The efforts made by KUA in overcoming the problem of wali ‘adhal in Langsa City include; First, mediation. Second, dialogue. Third, deliberation. Fourth, the emotional approach. Fifth, suggest litigation paths. This process is carried out by the KUA so that the guardian still marries his son even though after the process is carried out the guardian wants to marry his son even though with the wakalah wali (represent of guardian), because indeed in Islam allows that.
