Abstract
Abstract is a short explanation about information in a thesis. Writing the abstract involves clear thingking and full expression because abstract is the first part which the reader will read about. The main problem, however, is about the students difficulties in writing abstract. This study was carried out in STAIN Zawiyah Cot Kala Langsa. This study was qualitative descriptive. The object of research was graduated students of English departement which was taken based on purposive sampling technique. The purpose of this research is to know the students difficulties and the factors that cause students faced difficulties in writing abstract. In order to obtain the data needed, the writer conducted questionnaire and interview.
